Figure painting and drawing. Fridays 7:00-10:00pm. $15.00 cash per person. We work from live models exclusively, clothed or nude depending on the model's preference. Each week a single pose is featured for the entire evening; ideal for painters. We're a very casual group. The studio has easels, chairs, benches and small tables to work from. Bring your own art supplies. Please be courteous and respectful to everyone but especially to our art models. It's a tough job! In case a model is posing nude, please be careful when opening the door to the studio. Some models allow pictures for reference, some don't--always ask the organizers before taking any pictures.

Live models pose for short gesture drawings followed by 5-15 minute poses and half hour to 1-hour poses in costume, nude, or semi-clothed. Our studio is on the second floor and has 12-foot tall windows (with shades), providing ample natural light if desired. We can also use spot-lighting for a more dramatic lighting effect on the model. $10 per session. Pay at the door; cash, check or credit accepted. Drop-ins are welcome. 8 session passes are available for $60. Seeking new models regularly: all ages, genders, body-types. Some experience preferred.

Join us Saturday nights 6:00-9:00 p.m. for open studios with a live model. These sessions are 3-hours of uninstructed time for artists to come draw/paint the human figure. Each session will open with a few minutes of quick gesture poses before proceeding to one long pose, which will last the majority of the time. Every 1st Saturday of the month, the model will be nude. 2nd and 3rd Saturdays will have a dressed model. 4th Saturday's model will be undressed (swimwear). Atelier 3-D offers opportunities for beginners and advanced sculptors to practice mastering the processes and techniques for sculpting the human figure. Structured weekend workshops and ongoing 6-week sessions (using both male and female nude models in the same pose for 18-hrs) allows students to created accurate representations. Working in water-based clay, participants develop skills necessary to model the figure and finish a large piece up to 20 inches while receiving personal attention throughout each session. Live Draw Sessions meet every Tuesday 6:00-9:00pm. We have a rotation of 10 plus nude models, mostly female. The poses begin with five 2-minute gesture drawings, one 10-minute pose, then 20-minute poses, and the final pose is 30- or 40-minutes. The Artist's fee is $10. The location has tables, chairs, and a few easels but artists are encouraged to bring their own art supplies, beverages, and snacks. Pizza party every 3rd Tuesday of the month during our sessions, that artists can contribute to if they wish to partake. A fun-loving, laid-back group of individuals of all ages, skill levels, and who work in various mediums.
