An MCAD staff member is present to facilitate the co-op, however there is no instruction available. ArtiCulture provides a limited number of easels and drawing boards. Bring your own supplies or purchase them here. ArtiCulture is a mixed-used space with high ceilings and a funky feel. Life Drawing - Drawing the figure is one of the great traditions still practiced in the visual arts, and it provides the foundation of much of what is important in drawing. It is also great fun, challenging and learnable. In this class we will explore and grow our understanding and expression of the human form through drawing the nude model. Techniques of contour and gesture drawing, as well as blocking in and shading will be covered. Anatomical concepts important to the artist will be discussed. No experience necessary. Must be 18 or have written permission from parents.
