This is an excellent opportunity to draw or paint from an art model in our beautiful, spacious drawing studio. Come brush up on your skills, meet new friends, and spend an enjoyable afternoon under our vaulted ceilings. Bring your own drawing or painting supplies. We are a group artists that meet at the North Park Recreation Center every Thursday from 10:00am-1:00pm and Saturday from 9:15am-12:15pm to practice figure drawing with a nude art model. No photography of the model is allowed. You must be 18 years of age or older. We provide chairs and tables, but you must bring your own art supplies. We start with 2 minutes gestures, then 5 minute poses, a 10 minute pose, then followed by 20 minutes poses until the end. The last Thursday and Saturday of every month is one long pose after the gestures.

The Morongo Basin Life Drawing League meets Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm. Participating artists (usually 4-7) split the $40.00 model fee and pay a $1 per artist facility fee. Art models are generally nude, occasionally costumed. The uninstructed sessions include 6-8 gesture poses, followed by 10 30-minute poses. Chairs are provided; a dropcloth is required. Beginning and experienced artists welcome members to a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. The league has met since 2007. In 2009 and 2010, the MB Life Drawing League participated in the Hwy. 62 Open Studio Tours.
